Rereading Pride and Prejudice
I just finished reading this book for the second time. I found it just as enjoyable as the first time I read it. I love the language. I love the characters. Most of all, I love the Denouement. Very few other books I have read have as satisfying an ending. Most endings are epilogues bogged down by details or they are far too abrupt.  The end of Pride and Prejudice is smooth, the information given...

Christmas in Sacramento
Was not as bad as I thought it would be. The brother in law played nice. I was channeling my inner Thumper and attempting to not say anything mean. My tofurky was great. People kept asking, “When are you moving back?” I would politely respond, “Never, in my fucking life am I coming back to this hell hole.” I did also get to see a dear old friend while up there. We went for...

While I am certain that he is a lovely man, fantastic actor, and quiet good looking, I am unconvinced he needs such specific blogs. I have discovered, through a series of reblogs on my dash and not through search, that there are the following davidtennantshair davidtennantseyebrows davidtennantsglasses davidtennantssideburns. Really? I’ll Admit I’m fond of the man but this seems a...

You know what I think End of Time needed? If you...
A good editor. One to come in and say, “Yeah, this is a great story at its core but why is it covered in tinsel?” That would have been lovely. I suppose I’m just suggesting that the fat should have been trimmed off. The fat being the weird attention played to my man Obama. Who I admit to watching a fair amount when he is on the tele; however, if he were on on Christmas, then I...

– Io9’s review of Doctor Who “The End of Time: Part One” I must agree. As I learned, as a small child, from George of the Jungle, you don’t argue with the Narrator.

Chatting
Working as a Barista in a very slow town I feel vindicated in idle chat with the customers. One of them was British and I asked if there was a natural barrier between England and Whales. He proceeded to draw a tiny map on a post-it. When he got to Scotland he just said, “and that’s where the oatmeal savages live.”

Former president Gerald Ford wasn’t always gray-haired and paunchy — in his college days, he worked as a male model, and even appeared on the cover of Cosmopolitan.

Things I don't like about the holidays
Watching The Food Network HGTV DIY Non stop. I am a woman of SciFi, Urban Fantasy, and general fiction love. Reality television is not my bag, even when it isn’t “Bitch you don’t know me” reality tv.

Happy Christmas I suppose. I find it a terribly boring day and not a day that I feel particularly religious. I tend to feel much more religious on non holidays.

Son of a Bitch
I am a rather bad speller. I try and memorize as much as humanly possible but I have to memorize almost every thing. However, I just messed up my qui-s as in quit, quiet, and quite. I responded to someone’s post saying that something was quiet good. Silently good? Can I pass that off as silently good? Probably not.

I would really like to scream right now.
However, my cat is currently rubbing against my back and if I do, she will most likely claw the shit out of it. Silent I shall stay.

(browncoats exclusive)
browncoats: Dear James Cameron, I need to make you fully aware that as the editor of browncoats tumblr, I expect great things from your sci-fi blockbuster “Avatar”; however, as a member of the human race, the fact that you allowed your people to use Papyrus font for the film’s logo, is in my mind, entirely unacceptable. Sure the thundering throngs may be no worse for the wear, but we; the...
